Chosen post: Ten Really Dumb Old Inventions and Their Really Dumb Modern Counterparts

It is a collective blog and therefore has many authors such as Brian Lam, Jason Chen, Wilson Rothman and Jesus Diaz.
Anything and everything to do with gadgets. iPhone apps, Nintendo’s dropping profits, Windows 7, a couple who blogged while capturing pirates, pointless add-ons to pointless gaming systems, there is a very wide array of topics being talked about.
The blog is updated very frequently anywhere from 40 to 50 posts daily. I think that this is simply too much. It’s hard to find the time to read that many posts in a day so you have to just scan over the headings and the pictures and you could miss out on something really interesting because you’re not paying enough attention. Its also very off putting if you don’t get to check your reader for a few days and when you do it has upwards of 100 new posts from one blog alone.
The target audience is anyone with an interest in gaming, cool new gadgets or computing.
In every post there is either a picture or video. The layout of the site is simple. The picture or video is displayed to the left of the writing and if you click on this you get the full post. The side bar on the left has the name and email address of every author making it easy to get in contact with the authors.
I like this post the most because we seem to think now a days that we are somehow smarter than previous generations. That because we are more advanced technologically, we are smarter than previous generations. We forget that without previous generations work and research, we would still be where they were. Also it points out how many pointless things are made each year, but without these eccentrics we would have no progress.
